Enjoy full-scope optometry in Virginia's Shenandoah Valley.  Virginia offers the most advanced scope of practice in the U.S., including the ability to perform YAG laser capsulotomy, SLT, and LPI; perform minor surgical procedures and injections; prescribe oral medications including steroids and Schedule II - V drugs; and co-manage post-op care.

This thirty-year-old practice with its loyal patient base is entirely self-pay and Medicare only with no vision plans.  The retiring optometrist's office is open Monday through Thursday and two Fridays a month, with no weekends or holidays.  The optometrist is in the office 20 - 24 hours per week, with average revenue per patient of $410.  Staff is experienced, well-trained and dependable.  The practice has been a member of Vision Source since 2000, with an exclusive territory agreement.

The 1600-square-foot office, built in 2018, features three exam rooms, one fully equipped; an expansive optical with over 500 frames on display; a fully outfitted finishing lab with over 2000 lens blanks in inventory; a large contact lens training room; a large pre-test room; and OfficeMate/ExamWriter EHR.

The office is located in Harrisonburg, a thriving and growing area with a strong sense of community.  It is the home of James Madison University, and three other nearby colleges.  Close to Shenandoah National Park, George Washington National Forest, historical sites, and I-81, it is two hours to Richmond and Northern Virginia.
